Today is Friday the 13th! well i dont believe in that as a bad luck day anymore because Katie is no longer working with us. Thus, It is just Maryanne and me now. However, Maryanne had to meet with some of her students, so she gave me procedures of what to do and actually let me start something ON MY OWN.
I was very excited and nervous.
It was the same task again. (grind the Lipitor, weight it, mix it with methanol, filter it, make it different concentrations, and send it to UV spectrum test) --> Maryanne told me that we will be doing this over and over again because it is a really important steps that i need to learn to perform on my own.
SO I DID
I was super scared, but everything went really well. The only tiny problem that i had was i didn't really know where everything is so it took me some time to find them, but that was about it. I actually knew how to use pipets to measure different measurements of methanol.
The around 1pm, maryanne came and brought another graduate student Susan with her. she is real nice and very smart. I felt so good when she asked me questions. haha!
and yes, call me master of pipet. :)
Dear Master of pipet, you are making progress! I am proud of your ability to be so independent in lab.
ReplyDeleteBe sure to thank Maryanne for all of her efforts - she was probably not planning on investing so much time.
Are there any issues concerning your internship that we should know about right now?
You still need to blog about your reading.
:) Ok of course i will thank her :) there is not really any issues. (cause now the pipet issue is solved) I will let you know if there is any. i blogged about my reading and the link you asked for is also in there!
